I may have the opportunity to buy a used (and well cared for) 00' Element TO. I've just barely started researching bikes from RM and all I've heard are good things. If anybody has experience with the bike and would be willing to plunk down their opinion, that would be sweet. A picture or two would be nice. Thanks all! :)
Here's a pic...

Thats the scandium, I'm looking for the other one. I believe its just regular old aluminum..its blue/white, not white/blue.
Thanks for the pic though. :D

Here's mine. Sorry about the tree. It's either a 2000 or a 2001. It's 18" and in great shape. It's given me no problems at all. Unfortunately, I think I ordered a size too small and I'll likely be trying to sell mine this year too. Let me know if things don't work out with your source.

Thanks man, looks like a pretty fun picture.
I'll keep you in mind if my guy decides not to sell. Just a thought....what do you think would be a fair price to ask?

Good question. A Rocky bike shop I talked to yesterday mentioned $500. Now, we are talking about a couple years but I don't do any big hits and I generally only ride once a week in good weather. The frame is in great shape with only wear on the Element T.O. sticker. Also, I think this was the last year that RM used the Easton custom ultralight tubing for the Element, switching to scandium thereafter. Like I said, frame has given me no issues at all. I wish I'd bought the right size.:(
:D Sorry, I'm a moron and didn't read your post correctly!
