Adrenaline Bikes has these for pretty cheap. I was thinking about building up a frame with spare parts for a back up hard tail or maybe even a SS. Anyone know if these frames are any good? Are they for XC or FR, I am looking for a XC/trail riding frame. Looks like they came on Marins entry level, but that could just have been the parts spec's. Maybe the frame is worthy????

Didja read the reviews? All six reviewers gave the bike 5 chiles, and loved the beefy frame.

All the reviews sounded like they reviewed the bike with free riding in mind. I ride agressive, but like lots of miles. I guess my questions should be, is this a free ride frame or a XC frame - I assume geometry would be slighty different on a FR bike compared to a XC bike - maybe not????

Haven't built it yet. Sorry. But the quality looks pretty good for the $99 bucks I paid for it. I think this is a burly XC frame. On their shop scale it weighed in at 5lbs for a large (16") It's not a full on Freeride frame. Freeride frames I'd expect to be a lot heavier and stronger. I really wanted a steel frame. But for $$ I paid I couldn't resist the aluminum B-17.
When I get around to building it and riding it I'll post some more info.
Hope this helps.

i just bought a full b-17 on ebay for $250... frame was painted so i'm stripping it down. did a test run today on it and the paint comes off easily. should be nice when it's done. gonna do some upgrades as well. i'm just getting into riding and looking forward to it.
