Can anybody fill me in on the differences, if any? Mainly in diameter size!

I'm looking at building a wheelset with HUGI 240 disk hubs, X317 rims (which I already have) and CX-ray spokes. The question I have is are the X-317 and X-717 disk compatible? The same inner diameter?

That is, if I bend a rim, and the X-317 is no longer available, will I be able to relace a X-717 without changing my $$$ Spokes??

X317 = 2003
XC717 = 2004.

Correct, the difference between the "new" X717 Disc versus last year's X317 is the little sticker that says "X717 Disc". It's a lot cheaper to make up new names than it is to make new products.

So there is no difference in internal diameter?? I was just wondering because I checked in the DT spoke calculator, and they say a 4 mm difference (the XC717 being smaller). But I don't really trust the DT spoke calculator since they've steered me wrong in the past...

If the DT Calc is showing the "X717", that's a totally different rim model than the "X717 <i>Disc</i>", so maybe that's where the problem came from?
