....Just got off the phone with the Moots crew, looks like the frame will be done by the end of the week! I am just a little excited as I wasn't expecting it for a few more weeks.

Parts are sitting here waiting, fork is at the powdercoaters!

Can't wait to ride the thing.

When did you order yours? Just curious as I'm "still" waiting for my frame (ordered November 2) and promised "this week" several times over the past month. Not to mention "in two weeks", exactly two weeks ago.......

Still waiting........................

I ordered mine on 10-20-04 and have it in my house as of last week. I think it got to the shop on the 17th or 18th of December. Then the built took 3-4 days. I am waiting on the Ti beam stem from Moots to complete it. I'll post pics later this week if it comes in. The frame is worth the wait let me tell you (it's stunning).

I was at Moots last Weds and saw two 29" frames hanging there waiting to be finished. I think one was Donkey's, I'm not sure who the other one belonged to.

Neither were mine--custom orders take a lot longer...

One thing that really stuck out for me during my brief visit was that this time of year (Dec--Jan) is typically deadsville in the bike industry. There's just not much going on for lots of reasons. The only company in the biz (that I know of) right now that's busy is Moots--every one of those guys were jamming--all over the building.

For those of you who've never been to the Moots HQ, you really should get there sometime. No amount of words could explain it--you simply have to immerse yourself in it. They give free tours a couple days per week, and the tour will change the way that you look at all bikes, permanently. Part factory, part museum, part modern art, all tied together with some mad science and unbelievable amounts of experience.

Attached pic is just the tip of the iceberg...

I gotta say, these Moots guys are a class act. The ship date was earlier than promised and I'll have the bike in my hands on wednesday!

Happy? YES.
