View Full Version : Salsa skewers close to far? keen 02-21-2004, 10:17 PM I picked up a set of older Salsa QR skewers. I believe they are older because they don't have Salsa logo's on the handles. Problem is fulled closed the lever hits my Front disc/ the rear is about 10mm away- still close. My XT QR's gave much more room. Is this normal? almost seems like they were made to be used before discs were introduced. Any ideas? Thanx TR 02-21-2004, 11:14 PM Put the lever on the non disc side?? HTail 02-23-2004, 12:22 PM Agree with the prev post, even the new Salsa skewers are pretty long and when closed if anything makes it hard to grab as you'll crash your knuckles into the disc rotor. Put the skewer on the non-disc side. Put the skewer on the non-disc side. Great skewers! Well I always wanted the Salsa's to match my Salsa seat QR. I looked @ the right side and my der. cable is right there ,in the rear (02" Enduro). Looks like they will be on E-Bay soon. Thanx |
