Hey,
I got a 2004 hollowpoint expert, all stock, save for a yellow mavic X317/XT wheelset over the mavic crosslands, a 5th element air over the stock manitou swinger 3-way and a 2004 rock shox psylo SL over the black air spv. The bike feels alot smoother with the psylo over the black. But as my shop was assembling it, they notice my rear drop out was a bit bent. They bent it back, but im wondering how long will it last? also, is that covered under warrenty?
Thanks

The dropout itself, or the derailleur hanger? I'm sure IH will cover any problems like this.

But hey, Todd can answer that question. All I really want is to see some pictures of the '04's. Howzabout posting some!?!

...I had to get a handful of hangers from IH because I had to Dremel them to get my chain tensioner to mount correctly and swing clear of the dropout. The better news is that they told me the hangers were nothing special or custom to the HP, but a pretty standard and generic hanger that could be found in the parts catalogs that the bike shops order from. So what I'm saying is you've got options, and that's always good.

I'm guessing that your bike was one of the Dirt Demo bikes, correct? (you've posted about swapping out your Black SPV on other forums) If so the hanger probably got bent during transport or at the show. All new bikes come w/ an extra hanger for just this type of situation. Your shop can get one by calling our customer service dept at 800-645-5477 ext 209.

Wow todd! thanks alot! very much appreciated.
I love iron horse, but the shop I bought it from is barely a bike shop, therefore they had no manuals, etc to give me. So i'll give that number a call. Thanks!
