Myself and Guitar Ted are thinking of putting on a mountain bike race across the state of Iowa using the gravel roads. This event would be run similar to the Great Divide Race....meaning self supported. If it happens it will be near April 25ish. The race will start north of Souix City on Saturday and finish in Decorah on Sunday along with the mountain bike Time Trail that is already happening. Just because it's Iowa it will not be easy! trust me on that one! The entry fee will be $20 or less, to help pay for maps, course markings, etc. If you are interested in this event go to my "blog" and leave a comment regarding your interest. This event will happen if we can generate enough interest!

Make your plans now to either race the Decorah Time Trials, or just hang out to cheer everyone along, April 24th. Bonus! You'll get to see who survives the Trans Iowa Challenge, as our finishline and the Time Trials finishline are the same! Awards will be at T-Bock's afterwards, around 4pm. Come join the fun! And, if your around the day before in Hawarden, Iowa, you can see the Trans Iowa boys and girls off.
If you happen to be camping at Pilot Mound State Park, near Forest City, Iowa Saturday night, April 23rd, you just might catch some Trans Iowa action there , as well. By the way, Awesome single track there!
Just wanted to let everyone know what's up, and to support the Decorah Time Trials, as they were gracious enough to let us use the finishline, and awards ceremony for our little stroll across the state!
