Sure we would all rather ride all the time. But here's a suggestion from one guy. If the conditions are on the wet side, get out any way. Do some trail maintenance once in awhile. Last weekend I was out doing HAND TO HAND COMBAT with THORN BUSHES that are encroaching some trails. I bought a chordless hedge trimmer and a folding pocket saw. And Sticker bushes don't go down without a fight. One of the best methods I've found is to push the bush over with your foot and saw the stalks as low to the ground as possible. Sometimes one swipe will do..

I don't particularly like hearing "well someone's got to do it" or after telling people what I was planning on doing saying "go ahead", it's kind of like a slap in the face. But it is my decision.. If you look around it's amazing what you can learn from what the Boyscouts have done with drainage management and anti-erosion methods. Encroaching Prickers and rubble removal is just a start for me.. I'll log my time with my local group JORBA.

Just my two dull pennies.... Do some work, Support the Sport, keep a low profile and for God's sakes don't build jumps on anything but Private Property..
