Very Nice Bike...How do you like the rear shock? I like the black and silver theme... I probably won't get mine built up before the snow flies... I will basically have the twin sister to yours (Marta brakes, Deus s...) except I am going with the '05 Fox RLC 130. Do you know the approximate weight?

Sweet looking bike! Are those Martas or Marta SLs? I'll be posting my finished bike build shortly.

Go RM!

Nice ride!

I was looking at a 2004 ESTX-50 or a 2003 Instinct at the bike show. I wanted a bike for purely XC, and had no idea about current bikes back then. I went for the Instinct because it was lighter :D

Again...SWEET ride

I still think the maple-leaf schemes are the nicest RM does.

what type of magic turned your framed into a newer and upgraded model? I can see switching forks, shocks, etc, but the frame upgrade?? If it was the seatstay cracking issue maybe I don't want to know...

My original frames head tube was to large and when I whent to change the head set I could pull out the cups by hand. No magic just a good warenty

I had the same frame as you, and I just got the 05 70 model to replace it just like you. How do you like the new Fox RP3 shock? How do you set it up for the best ride? (on my old one I put in almost my weight, with rebound about in the middle)

It's at the bike shop getting my parts moved over. I've also upgraded wheels to Crossmax, and the front shock to a 04 Vanilla 125 RL (I hated the MXR? it came with...)

Hoping my new frame won't make the creaking noise anymore...

I run the shock with 10 to 20 psi less than my body weight with the propedal set on soft or off and the rebound three cliks from ful fast that seeems to work good for me. As for the creaking sound my old one stoped doing that when I started greaseing the pivots.

Sounds good to me, I'll start there and see how it works. Thanks for the info!
