I'm looking into buying an "04" 2.0 with some upgrades. I'd like to swap out the Pilot fork and upgrade the deraileurs. Any feedback on this bike would be appreciated. Good or bad.

I have an '04 idrive 2.0 and thought in stock form was pretty good. I have swapped out the rear derailuer for an xtr and the fron fork for a Marzocchi Z1 FR w/ ETA. Awesome fork! Made a huge difference in the downhills and no negatives on the climbs. I also have purchased a Fox Vanilla RC rear shock 6.5x1.75 to increase the rear travel to 5.25". We'll see how that goes.
I rode my buddies Giant VT1 and I didn't like it nearly as much as the GT. Didn't climb as well and didn't feel as plush.
