It was to be a 1.0 with a carbon fiber rear triangle. They had trouble bringing it to production so it was canned. Not for 05 either.

I am thinking of buing this bike and selling my 2003 ID 1 (which i love most..)
They being sold at : Akron bike at : 1.500$ full xtr kit .
What do you think ?

I Came Across A New Idxc Ultra On Ebay For 1500.00. Said It Was Full Xtr And So On. This Was An Import Company. I Asked Them For A Complete List Of Parts Ans Photos Of The Bike. The List They Gave Me Was A Mix Of Xtr And Xt. Also The Photo They Gave Me Was The Idxc 1.0. This Was Totaly Wrong. I Told Them I Was Wanted The Idxc Ultra And They Told Me They Made A Mistake And That They Did Have The Idxc Ultra. Again I Asked For A Photo Because I Had Never Seen One And No Body Can Get Me A Photo. I Ended Up Calling Gt (pacific Cycle)and Asking Them About The Idxc Ultra.
They Told My That It Did Not Exist. The Guy Told Me They Had Problems And It Never Made It To Production. I Told Him About The One On Ebay And He Said That They Had Seen That And Did Not Know Where The Bike Came From. So I Backed Out Of The Deal. Not Sure What I Might Get.

I too did'nt find one single picture of it . pacific probably made only a few , but it is still offred over the net .
It's should be a great bike , but may be some problems with the back carbon triangle.
If it will brake i don't know if pacifit will have replacement ...
Still , it's a very good deal at 1.500$ !

Hey player, Pacific never made a GT IDXC ultra, the one you saw if anything was a picture of a prototype that was made in 2003 but was never released. The bikes you seen on EBAY are actually IDXC1.0 bikes, they only throw in the ULTRA as a catch.

YOUR RIGHT, IT IS A GOOD DEAL. IF YOU DO GET THIS BIKE TAKE SOME PHOTOS AND LET US KNOW WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE.
ALSO LET ME KNOW WHAT THE TOTAL WEIGHT OF THE BIKE IS.
