If your interested, they do a large group ride/party every year starting in Crested Butte. It is usually in SEP. There are a lot of great trails in this area.

..is also ridable in late June through Winter. A great ride.

forgive me if I am out of line, but I believe that pearl pass is a trail for four wheelers and jeeps. A trail for mtn bikers is a single track. A road for mtn bikers is a trail for 4 square mealers.

So, is there a singletrack from cb to aspen?

Drop a car outside of Aspen at the top of Castle Creek road. Take Express Creek Rd to Taylor Pass to Star Pass. Then you can take a bunch of single track into CB. If forget the names, but get the Latitude 40 map. Don't try before mid-July. I live in Aspen and like the ride to CB more becuase there is a lot more single track on the descent going that way (not much legal stuff on Aspen side for this route).
