Howdy. Vegas is my hometowqn, but I'm not there too often because I'm going to school at CSU. BUT... i was wondering if anybody knows any hardcore trails around vegas or boulder city. I've only ridden pretty tame trails, so Im looking fo rsome fast stuff. ive heard of trails near Boulder city, but I dunno.

out to Boulder City from LV and look out and up on your left and you'll see Bootleg Canyon (www.bootlegcanyon.com). Kinda hard to miss. Not the only DH trails in the valley but it has the highest density.

Tjhanks, i was looking back at all the other threads and i guess i could have figured it out from them. it looks like there are a bunch of you guys that ride together a lot, id have to try to hook up with some of you next time im in town. my roommate is coming down with me over christmas break, and i think ill take him down to bootleg canyon, it looks pretty nice from the website and pictures posted. at least in january, we wouldnt have to go at 5 in the morning, itll still be pretty cool later in the day (that waking up thing does not go over well with us college kids)

I'm driving back to Vegas this weekend to pay a visit to my UNLV attending girlfriend, and I am planning on riding Bootleg Canyon on Saturday, as long as its not too hot in the afternoon. I've never been over there, so I was wondeirng if anybody knows the good trails I should try. I'll probably ride XC, but my bike is laid up at the moment so i'll try to demo a Heckler when I get in town, so maybe I'll give some of the DH trails a shot.....although i've never really ridden any DH specific trails before. Is the stuff at BC difficult? Do they have any trails that would be fast, but not too hard?? (20 ft drops.....no good) Thanks.

that should get you started. I plan on riding there on sat afternoon also. Pm me if you want i'll only be riding about an hour though . i can point you in the right direction.
