Does anyone have a GPS map of the dead bobby trail system they can share?
Aside from the rilito path are there any good intown rides that aren't along the major streets or mixing with traffic.
TIA

The GPS map would be to use on topofusion ( http://topofusion.com/ ) I have copies of my fantasty island, 24 old peublo, starr pass, and 50 year trail to the chutes if anyone who hasn't seen this software wants to play with it. I also have the files to make tucson 3D when you try the 3D mode (otherwise the ground is flat and only the trail map is 3D)
I will share these and any of the little knowledge i know about topofusion with you if you want....
a GPS map of dead bobby trail system would be awesome (as stated above (or below depending on how you have your thread display preferences set up :) ))
Thanks,

At least on the trails you mentioned, of which there must a half dozen decent maps already in existance.
It may just be me but I find them distracting when MTB'ing. May be good for a back up if you get lost though and can't terrain associate.

You're right louis, I originally downloaded the maps I could find (there are some great local internet resources available), but have since replaced them with my personal rides and get a kick out of watching the time lapse, esp in 3D

I personally don't have a GPS as the cash eludes me, and I'm far too new at the sport to warrant such a fun toy.... but my experienced riding partner has one, and we've found it invaluable on local trails that have networks and multiple paths like 50 year and starr pass. It was also really helpful the first time we rode the 24 hour course as there are some fairly unobvious turns.
But mostly I just like recording them on the topofusion software and mesmerising myself the a few hours once home and the bike is washed.

I have a track or two from Dead Bobby. PM me an email address, or there if is general interest I can post some GPS data on topofusion.com (maybe a network).
I rarely use GPS to find my way. The cool thing is post ride analysis. Cool for short, known rides (playback, speed, climbing, other stats) and damn near essential for epic exploratory rides--so you can see where you went after the fact and then plan for new rides.
Trading GPS files around is also pretty cool. Even if you don't have a GPS to follow (which I agree is distracting), it gives you an idea of the area, better than a topo map does.

I saw that on their site, but really wanted it in topofusion readable format so i could check out elevations, and how someone may have previously ridden around the network. i don't know of any way that topofusion can allow superimposing of images so that a trace of a map could be made.
sdmb is a good resource and i use it when questions come up.
I've got the gpx now (thanks Scott) added way points and will most likely ride it in the next month.
