Looks like a great fork idea.
Take a prefab steerer crown from (rockshox, marz, manitou etc) insert straight Ti legs and drops outs and Shazzaam Ti fork.
Pace does the same with carbon, why isn't anyone doing this with ti?

Yeah... I've got at least three old Marz and two rockshox crowns sitting around. Wuzzupwidat? I wonder if we could get Spicer to something like that...

Just left a message for Gene about this. Seems it would be pretty easy to buy just the fork legs since they already make em for his fork. The problem area (welds at crown junction) would be eliminated.
