What size BB do I need for an LX crank on a CAAD5 mountain frame?

Thanks

but in this case, wait for someone else to chime in before you go rushing off to the shop. I am not positive, but 68x113 sticks in my mind.

to my knowledge all cannondale shells are 68. almost all are 113, but may be 118 depending upon what crank you are using! pricepoint now has raceface bb on sale for $40.00 -- don't know what you are using but i have had one for a few years now with no problems!

hope this helps :D

What size BB do I need for an LX crank on a CAAD5 mountain frame?Depends on what year/model LX cranks you are going to be using.

Your original BB is more than likely a square taper (@ 113mm) and the new Shimano LX M572 crankset uses a splined BB (ES-51). The newer LX crankset requires a longer BB (121mm) because the splines go deeper in the arms.

FCM571 requires a bottombracket with an axlelength of 113mm (for chainline 47.5mm) or 118mm (for 50.0mm chainline)

FCM572 requires a bottombracket with a axlelength of 121mm (for chainline 47.5mm) or 126mm (for 50.0mm chainline)
