As I said in an earlier thread, I suck with a hacksaw, but with a sanding wheel on my dremel - it is way easy to clean up the uneven ends. If you try this, be aware of how quickly this will eat away the carbon - it grinds off like butter melting under a hot knife!

Notice the shopvac hose stuck up in the lower left corner - with it running, the carcenogenic dust was sucked right away...
