I just bought a 2003 Idrive 3.0 frame (it's got a coil shock, and I think it's different than the race/pro frames), and I've got some questions for anybody with a similar model.
-What's the best way to size a chain for this bike? I assume since the BB moves it's not quite the same as putting a chain on a regular FS bike.
-Somebody a couple of days ago posted something about how a Shimano Octalink BB wouldn't fit in their frame without cutting down one of the flanges. Is this a problem common to all Idrives? Should I invest in a new crank/BB?
-Will this frame take a 5" fork? I don't think the frame warranty will apply, since I'm buying the bike used, but I'd like to know if GT recommends it or not.
