Wonder if any one can help me out.I want to get my marzocchi's serviced the local guy is stuffing me around tells me it will take one week and now it's out to three and still waiting.Anyone know someone in southern sydney who does a good job.Any one know where Jesse from the Bike Bar is I know he does good work just can't find him now?

I have used The Bike Bar twice, first time was years ago (96?) at Surry Hills in Sydney ("hot rodding" my Marzocchi DH3s with springs and a few other mods) then a few years later at Newtown (special brake bosses made for a xizang frame). I've been in Cairns for nearly 4 years so haven't used them since.

After seeing this post did a bit of a search and it looks like they are in Melbourne now found this on http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/?id=2003/nov03/nov28news

The Bike Bars' work on the forks and was very good, not so good on the brake boss (slight bend in one). They are also very expensive and the turn around time was really slow.

I always used Stanmore Cycles in Sydney and found them very good for price, service and quality of work Just that when the DH3's came out Stanmore Cycles haddn't worked on them before and at that stage didn't have the Marzocchi specific tools.

Sounds like the local guy might be gonna send 'em back to the distributor...that's about the only reason a basic fork o'haul would take that long. Do they not have the Knowledge?

What town are you in? There may be a better BS you could try.
