XTR. all the way. Better shifting, stronger rings and the octalink is better interface. i owned RF cranks and BB, my bearings blew out twice and had to rebuild and the middle ring's tooth sheared off. very dissapointing.

Can't go wrong with XTR. My frame should arrive today and it's going to be XTR for the most part.
Good luck

You should definitely go for the XTR.

I guess they are 2002 XTR's since 2003 started the integrated BB. These are M952's and at http://www.jensonusa.com/store/sub.aspx?i=131. Still feel the same?

The only Caveat would be the price of replacing the outer chainrings as opposed to RF. The XTR does shift a hair better, but only a hair. It is a coin toss, really. Good luck!
