I just wanted to know (and this may be a stupid question), but I started riding in Fall 2003 and I have been through the bikes, I had a trek 4900, trek fuel 70, and a Gary Fisher Sugar which I still own, but I recently sold the trek bikes and bought a Jamis Eureka frame. I think it is a 2002 model and built it up w/ 2004 parts etc. I have found my dream bike, being that I like to ride XC, go ride dual S, then hit the streets, and I come from a BMX background, This bike is amazing in all applications. LONG STORY SHORT HAHAHAAHA. I just want to know if you guys can give me some insight on how the wishbone stays on the frame make the ride seems so plush, It sometimes feels as If I am on a suspension bike at times. Does the wishbone stays do this. Just curious. I love this bike and if I ever get another full suspension it will be a Jamis as well. I am so happy with the Eureka that my Sugar has become the backup bike. Thanks guys hope someone can answer my question.

I don't know about the S-bends, but I do love my eureka as well. I was skeptical at first because it was such an inexpensive frame, but it has impressed me over and over again.
I also use mine primarily for xc (the more techinical the better) and occasionally Dual and some mild downhill.

Here's a pic (with the dog):

Thanks for replying, I will try to get a pic of mine online this weekend. It looks almost like yours. same frame anyway. I love this bike as well. I was just curious on why it doesn't feel as jittery as a normal hardtail. I mean it downhills as well as my full sus. bike. I mean I may sell my sugar frame just because I love riding this bike so much hahaha. later, Justin

Dude, where in NC are you?
I'm close to Charlotte.

I've never ridden a good full suspension, but I do admit the eureka conquers downhill sections like a champ. I just assumed it was the 5 inch fork and fat tires :)

That Eureka frame is da s***! Very strong and cheap. That frame took everything I gave it. I mean, this thing took a beating. I now have a 2003 Komodo and a 2004 Dakar Pro. Sold the Eureka...nothing against the bikes I have now, but I miss that Eureka.

Yeah dude, I know where you're talking about. Poplar Tent exit off of I-85. Be sure to ride devils drop and the gravity cavity. Very cool stuff there. The guy that owns the land keeps it up really well, just asks for a donation at the trail head.

Take it easy in Mt Airy. I'm headed up to Blowing Rock in a few minutes, but not for riding :(

I too have this Eureka. I have a Psylo on it on full travel. I bought the frame from Jenson for a 100 bucks. It weighs 29lbs, currently, but I am going to ring that number down starting with the wheels. It has been my only bike for a year and I use it for commuting aswell. I am very pleased with this frame. I'll try to post a pic.
