Any Suggestions?
I'm getting A LOT of creak up in the headset/stem/upper crown area, I can't quite pinpoint the exact location.
I guess I'll have to tear it all apart and rebuild.
Anyone else experience this problem?

I had a nasty sound coming from the headtube area when I was hitting bumps -- and it sounded a lot like a creak I was getting from my BB last summer.
After a lot of inspection and paranoia about having dropped a wad of cash on something that noisy just weeks after I started riding, it turns out my rear brake hose was banging around between the headtube and the crowns.
It really sounded just like my BB creak, people don't believe me but it really did.
Have you tried posting in shocks too? Lotsa Mav riders like Count Zero and Tommy O are over there.

Yeah, thanks AK.
I had read an earlier post of yours, so tried to be sure it wasn't the brake cabels, pretty much ruled that out.
The Mav tech guys suggested I remove the spacer I am using. We'll see if that works...
I did also post this Q in Shocks.

Don't forget to lube your headset (top and bottom) where it presses into the head tube. That one baffled me for awhile.

Removed the spacer and the creak went away! Yeah!
The top crown was a serious pain in the ass to remove though...had to hammer it.
Thanks for the suggestion Mav tech guy!
