Seems like there isn't much activity on these boards from you, my fellow native Michiganders...no cool post ride pics, no big group rides...I remember days at Poto when I couldn't even park for all the bikers and big races with hundreds of participants. IMBA once rated Michigan as the 6th best state in the country for riding, yet looking at these boards you wouldn't know it...
Where you guys at?!

That's cool! I thought that maybe the mt.bike scene had dwindled in the past few years. I've heard some rumblings from friends back home about store closures around Ann Arbor and in Toledo, OH. Didn't see much action on the boards, thought maybe y'all moved!

It's because we all congregate at the MMBA website!! We have everything we need right there....

exactly!
I just check here every once in awhile, maybe somebody from out of state looking for somewhere to ride or somebody to ride w/.
I usually come to this forum to find tips and product reviews, recommendations, etc. If I'm gonna talk about riding or races, events, etc. than I go to mmba.org - excellent site, even though I really don't know anybody else on there like it seems most of them do. I'm kind of the odd man out (or one of them) living and riding in the UP, where most of the members are from SE MI or the Metro-Detroit area.

That's 'cos were all out riding our bikes! A bunch of my friends here in S.E. Mi. seen to ride every day. I have done 6 or 8 epic group rides this year (100k to 100mi.) In Aug. I had over 500 miles and only a couple of road rides figured in that. 2004, "The summer of the epic".

I agree with Cyclodan. We've been riding, riding, riding. The epic rides have died off a little lately but there's always something going on.

Yeah, got sick of being a lurker.
I'm not heading out to the bike fest, camping elsewhere this weekend and doing some night riding out at Poto.

Sure, you're out riding...but what do y'all do while your WORKING? Huh?
