I have never posted on this board before, but do post frequently on the SS board.
Over the past several years I have had some health issues and need to stop making excuses and get back in shape. Over the past few years, I have dealt with 2 broken feet, a broken arm, dislocated shoulder , and have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetis.
Needless to say, I have gained a fair amount of weight and am ready to start anew.
I work from 3:30 PM to about 3:00 AM, sleep in until noon. I have about 2 hours a day to work out. My resolve is to eat better and ride more. The foot is fine, the shoulder is still sore, but the pain in manageable. I am just starting to get over the physocological depression of the diabetis.
I joined a Gym and have started and stopped many times.
My goals are to loose a few pounds a week and follow a riding routine that fits in my work a haulic life style and keep the training program going for more than a few months.
Now that I am just starting out again, what would you recommend in terms of distance and time for the joints and tendons to adapt to the riding..
Any recommendations to a regular training schedule and any diet tips? I can ride 6 days a week, Sundays are for my family, no riding.
Thanks for anybody who has a few tips and is brave enoght to reply and offer advice.
