I'm being offered a 2002 Rocky Mountain ETSX-50 in very good condition, with all original components. It's a better bike than I intended to buy, but only a 19" while I'd prefer a 20.5". Any advice how much I should pay for this (please specify US or CDN $) ? Or for how much they go in the market ? Thanks!

You can get a 2003 w/ factory components for about $1700 (US) so you could factor in a year and the use. How much do they want?
Also RM's are sized big, my 18" inch seems really large compared to any other 18 inch bike I own.

I own a 2002 etsx-50 and have upgraded it to the point where the upgrades cost more than the bike. The 02 bikes part spec realy sucked the fork and cranks where garbage and the wheels were not much beter. Dont get me wrong the bikes frame and design are awsome but you wont get a good ride out of that garbage bomber fork. So factor in the pricce of a new fox fork when calculating how good of deal you are getting. That said I have seen them go for around $1400 canadian if that helps.

That's weird.

I'm riding an 18" Fanatic (Think Element type design) and I normally tend towards smaller frames. The 18" fits fine.

On most other bikes I was able to get away with a 16" or 17" frame, but because the Top tube on the Rocky is shorter, I'm fitting on a 18" without any problems.

BTW - The frame's a '03.
