bike content, spent Friday facing the disc tabs on the new bike, Specialized Enduro frame was way out as were the Marz. MXC air forks. The Shimano 525 hydraulics howl like 2-3 packs of coyotes. Front is now fixed up but the back is worse. I'd fix it but the bastidges used Torx bolts so now I gotta go source another new tool.

It's mild here, wish I could ride today. Prolly 45-50F?

Tried to ride Fromme with AlanB & Kirk yesterday, but free hub decided to freewheel.

Came home, grabbed XC bike and did a 3 hour ride in Pacific Spirit park with Ina.

Rode to work this morning, quite warm actually. Forgot my shoe covers, so if the rain forecast for this afternoon arrives, cold toes here I come!

BTW, try the "Hybrid" thread view. That way you can tell who you are replying to.

didn't get out all weekend on the bike, Trevor and I skied Whistler Sat. The bike trails look flat with skis on ;P

A beer at the Irish pub is now $8.25, so be warned.

didn't you bust your Freewheel on Krinkum last time we rode there?

Thought I had the freehub fixed. I worked at room temp. when I tested it. Outside it was just free...
I'm using their special grease.

I have a new spare hub I'm going to pull the star rachets out of and try them. The old one might be worn?

For the last month I've been using the back wheel off of Ina's bike.

3 hours? That's as long as Kirk and I took to do Crinkum/Griffen/KOTS.

Mind you it was more than our slow riding that took so long. We also sawed a few logs that were blocking the trail at the bottom of Mtn Park. We got a disgusted look from a passing hiker, probably worried about the idea that trail users might actually contribute to the maintenance of the trails.

Rode from our place, through the park to Spanish Banks, across Spanish Banks, then back through the park home. Also included stops at a few schools to play on stairs and walls.

Play on the stairs? Don't miss the teeter-totters. They're great fun, but first you have to hack off the handle so they're easier to ride up.
