Hey guys I am looking to pick up a new HT frame and have been looking at the Caldera ($129) and the Hoss Deluxe ($209) I already fully understand the differences between the frames (design/use/etc.) I just want to know what are the biggest tires that will fit the frame. I love my Geax 225's (2.4") on my Stinky Primo, and would love to use them on the HT. I'm 6'5" 230lbs.

I have a much-modified 2001 Ford/Kona Blast upon which I have Tioga 2.30 Factory DH tires (measure more like 2.5's). The frame is almost identical to the "Hoss" and "Scrap" frames and the tires fit fine, but they don't leave much room for mud.

well, this may be irrelevant by now, but i'm running a panaracer fire FR 2.4 in front on my caldera (marzocchi EXR) and so far so good!

I've got 2.35 Kujo's on my 03 Scrap, and they're pretty tight. I'm not sure how they measure up compared to other tires, I think they run a bit big. I'd guess that nothing over a true 2.5 would make it. I'd say the Hoss is up your ally, and I'd guess you would have more clearance with your 2.4's on it.

I have a 26x2.35 Maxxis Lopes BLing BLing Dual on the Rear and it just fits comfortably, but then my wheelset are Trail Pimps. On front a 26x2.3 Nokian Gazzalodi That is wider than the Maxxis.
