I had the only Redline dealer in the area order me a new Moncog 29er and have been waiting for it to arive. It has been a month now and I'm still waiting. Is that normal? I'm trying to be patient, but I've got a pile of parts sitting at ready for the bike and I want to ride.:madman:

I don't think it should take that long. I was asking a local dealer about getting a frame, told me 3 days.

That's what mine said a month ago.

The LBS my wife ordered my Monocog from told us it would be a week...but then it ended up being two weeks. Evidently I got the last 21" Monocog frame in the country at the time and they had to yank it out of some warehouse out on the west coast. That was back in March.

Complete, 15 inch.

A month, really? You should ask for your bike now or your money back if you put some down on it. 15" completes are available within a week to almost any Redline dealer in the US. I tell you this because I work for a dealer. Both regular '08 MonoCogs and '08 Flight MonoCogs are available right now in the 15" size.

Something fishy is going on.

There are only two Redline dealers within driving distance. The other one only sells their BMX bikes and wouldn't special order a Monocog for me.

All I'm saying is if the dealer sells Redline mountain bikes, a 15" MonoCog is available to them in about a week or less, depending on the distance to the closest warehouse. The distributor has them in stock.

So, you want a frame/fork set, correct?

I don't think I'll be using this dealer any more. The owner called me yesterday evening and said my bike was here, so I stopped in today to get it and go for a ride. When I got there the mechanic was the only one in the shop, and he hadn't heard anything about a Redline, just a Jamis.
The bike was still in the box behind the counter and I was told that the price I payed didn't include assembly. I went out to my car to get my tools, pedals, stem, and levers for the Dirt Drop bars that was going to install anyway. Took a bike off one of the stands and went to work building my bike. It was missing the front skewer, and I triple checked all the packaging. When I told the guy this he handed me a box of old skewers that didn't have one single complete one, they were all missing the nut, So I went out front and pulled a package of two aff they wall( the only ones in the store). I needed longer cable housings to reach my controls, so I cut those.
Somewhere in the middle of my build the owner walked in a said he didn't expect me so soon and disappeared again. Before I left I paid for the 3 feet of brake cable housing, the handlebars, and the skewers just to avoid trouble, but I will not give Bike O Rama in Denton TX any more of my business.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I still managed to get in a short ride before I had to be at work. It rides great and will post pictures once I get the handlebars dialed in and taped. If anybody was wondering, It is very difficult to keep ahold of untaped dirt drops when riding through rock gardens.

wow, that's pretty poor service. my pair of local redline dealers (both of which are literally within 4 or 5 miles of my house, which is biking distance for me) keeps the monocogs in stock, and when I got mine the lbs I got mine through had sizes small through large in stock. and today when I was there they also had a few redline BMX bikes there. the other local redline dealer also had monocogs in stock, as well as a 24" tire redline BMX bike
