I need to get a new rear cog for my 26" Monocog but don't know what kind I need or where to get one.

Can anybody recommend a place that sells these and what I should get? I currently have an 18T and want to go to gear ratio that will allow me to pedal at a faster speed than what I can get to now.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Any shop should have them. I ran 34:17 on mine.

Well I didn't get much help with my question, but maybe someone in the future might benefit from my experience.

The MonoCog 26" uses a BMX style freewheel like the Shimano SF-MX30 DX Single Freewheel #T x 3/32” Single (where #T=16,18,20 teeth) like the one shown here

You use a Freewheel remover (Park Tool FR-8) to take the freewheel off and thread it back on. Easy to do. I went from a 18T to 16T and it works well.

I thought that it used cogs like this but I was wrong.

Since you didn't specify how old, I think most of the new monocogs use cogs. My 07 does

Since you didn't specify how old

Bought the bike used so I'm not sure what year it is?

canuck, Could it be that the previous owner swapped out rear hubs? Every factory stock 26 monocog I have ever seen has a splined freewheel hub and takes Shimano compatible cogs. Pre 2006 monocogs have 110 mm rear spacing, 2006-on have 135 mm spacing.
