Well this beautiful cool morning at 0700 my friends Dan and Devin met me at the Costco parking lot for the Sunday morning ride led by Jimmy. It was my farewell ride here on Oahu as I fly out to kuwaiit next Saturday night for some time in Iraq.
Here Rob contemplates the route--through the Californ-aye-a grass we will go.

Allison and Dan at an overlook point. There are several; they all have nicknames but this is the first time I've rode these trails with good "guides" and only the 3d time on the Mililani trail system. Maybe I'll get to know 'em when I return on '05.
One can see Pearl Harbor and jets taking off from Honolulu International from this vantage point.

Everyone shares the Mililani "illegal" trail system w/no problems. The motobikes were out in force.

Ride leader Jimmy, and Rob droppin' in.

Jimmy begs calories from Allison.

Dan and Rob discuss the fine points of a freeride type downhill suitable enough for the RedBull Rampage.

3 Amigos at the overlook. 60% of team Cruzin 4 a Bruzin. I'm the cauc overweight Irish bastidge in the middle. I'll fix that weight issue in Iraq.

So yeah these are mainly a bunch of pics that don't have many bikes or neat trails
pictured in 'em. But I am a novice mainly w/the camera deal. And these are my friends and they made sure i had a great send off ride. This is the most fun I've had on the mountain bike here---I was blasting down and over stuff that has been giving me fits---this texas flatlander finally figured out that lowering the saddle an inch or two would be a good idea--lol--now I'm outta here 4 a year. Wished I'd figured it out sooner.
Great day, great folks, great ride.
Thanks for looking.
