I am getting close to pulling the trigger on a new bike and its between an 06 triple or 08 double. The 08 only has one ring and I think I would miss lower gears for up hills.Is adding another ring and shifter and derailleur worth it? Or would the 06 triple be the way to go? The two bikes are very close to the same price now. Thanx

Ihh... you can add a second ring and derailleur to ANY bike, bro. Might run you...like...$70 for a shifter, derailleur, cable and a ring? Don't need the chainguide anyway, sell it to pay for part of the derailleur project.
