...Get outside Bikes in Ridgewood? this was one kick ass shop. The staff was very knowledgable and helpful, and it was very well stocked. I went on their website to findout the business hours just to find out that they are closing for good when the lease runs out.

Yes they are closing up shop :(
That was one of the best stores arounf for high end mountain bike parts, and yes the staff was great. I've been there three times since they declared they are closing and I have been getting great prices, almost everything is around 35% off (not bikes but they are reduced). Picked up 3 pairs of ust schwable tires, brake pads, chains, ss freewheels, all at great prices.
Say hello to Merrill, the owner, he is once of the nicest LBS people I've ever met.

if you're looking for a good, quality shop in North Jersey go to Original Bike Shop in Saddle Brook on Rt. 46 East. Little shop in a little shopping center. Mel is the owner and everybody gets the attention they deserve unlike some other shops that only take care of people who look like riders or look wealthy (cough, other cycle shops near Get Outside, cough).

I've been taking my ride to Mel for about two years now. Decent guy, good prices, rides himself and doesn't try to screw you.

Sad to hear they will be closing. A coworker of mine recommended I go there as she knows I'm into riding. They had a good selection of stuff and were very knowledgeable and nice. Anyone know why they are closing anyways?
