My wife and I are heading to central Oregon (by Wickiup Reservoir) next week to do a week of mountain biking. We're going to download some etrails from trails.com and want some advice. For most trails, there are several different options for downloads coming from different books and we're not sure which books have better trail descriptions, maps, etc. There are four books and we were hoping folks could weigh in on which one(s) are better. They are (1) Mountain Bike! Oregon by Laurie and Chris Leman, (2) Mountain Biking Bend by Scott Rapp, (3) Mountain Biking Oregon: Northwest and Central Oregon by Lizann Dunegan, and (4) Mountain Biking Oregon by Mark Wigg.
Also, we got a 1999 Mountain Biking & Cross Country Skiing Central Oregon map from a friend and were wondering if this was the most current map of this type around. We've done some web searching and haven't been able to find anything newer, but did see some message board posts in one place that suggested their might be one. If you know of one, any suggestions on where to get it would be appreciated.
