I have been contemplating on which bike to get. The '03 Giant NRS2 is used from ebay, fully suited with Marz. MX pro fork and Cane Creek AD-12 rear shock, Hayes hydro disc brakes and other goodies for a third of the retail price. Versus a Brand new '04 Marin East Peak which I am try to burgain or about $700 to $800. I really haven't heard about Marin bikes, but looking at some reviews it sounds like it is very light. I currently have a '04 Giant Warp DS1 which I like the package but weighs a ton,. Are Marin bikes considered really good? I like the NRS since it has a nice package and Giant owners are constantly raveing about their NRS. In the long run, which bike would I be happy with, as I move from beginners to intermediate skill wise?
