I am building up a late 90s Mountain cycle and i want to keep it that era. I am after a ProStop 2 caliper and rotor for the rear.
Surely someone knows where i can get 1.
One question while i am on that. Is there such a thing as a front and rear Prostop 2 caliper and didnt they come with a ISO bracket?. Or are they all the same size and spacing etc?
Would love to hear from anyone that could put me on to any leads
Please help.
Josh

The front and rear calipers are the same with different mounts, hose lengths, etc. The front rotors are 9" and the rear are 8".
Mountain Cycle no longer carries any of these parts. You may find someone by searching the net. I had a few sets till the last time I cleaned up the garage.
Don't forget the Suspenders fork

I searched the Web etc
I was snippered on the last set on ebay.
If you come across any let me know.
What happened to ProStop? what was the cause of them to disapear?

Why did Pro-stop disappear? Try any quality modern disc brakes and you'll know. Pro-Stop were great mtb brakes for 1989, OK for 1999, Then out-dated by much lighter, simpler, more powerful, reliable, quiter, and less expensive brakes now.
Where are the Suspenders forks?

Here are some Disc Brake mount adapters that I found:

You need a flip-flop style rear MX hub to lock a disc onto.

Wow... prostop brakes. I bought a set years ago for the fun of it to try. Really nicely made, all gold, cool looking. No power! Always had air in the lines no matter how many times bled. I remember one time at the local DH spot, I broke a rear Hayes lever and had the prostop brakes in the trunk of the car. Man I was scared... I pretty much only had a front brake to rely on.
