I personally use UST rims because i think they are more durable in the long run but the stan's no-tubes do work as advertised and better than Bontrager UST system.<p>If you do post in the General Discussion, be aware you will get a lot of YesTubes.com posts ssmike 02-02-2004, 05:20 PM Has anyone used the tubeles kits available? Pay attention to the directions and make sure the rim bed is built up so the rubber strip seals with the tire. alasa 02-06-2004, 03:48 AM Stan's NoTubes.com works awesome. Hi, I had a very good experience with http://www.tubelesskit.com this is like notube, but a little better, for me! Andrea jisozaki 05-08-2004, 07:46 PM what happens if you don't remember to add more of the Stan's liquid before the remaining liquid dries up? will it still stay sealed and just lose it's flat fixing capability? or will it start leaking? It will generally stay sealed, but you will lose the flat prevention properties. You probably won't forget though. JuanGonzalez 05-19-2004, 04:00 AM I also have a very good experience with eclipse kit (www.justridingalong.com). I use also in my downhill bike. Regards bpatterson6 08-31-2004, 09:10 PM I made my own kit. 2 regular tubes and 1 bottle of "Slime" from the local Mx shop. Works like a champ. cost me 20.00 No more pinch flats and I have railed it hard and it works awesome!!! NappyT 09-07-2004, 08:15 PM I tried the Slime and didn't like it. I got the Slime Lite Tubes. Had them for a couple months. I got a small puncture and they never sealed. I just installed Stan's NoTubes tonight I will post in a few days to let you know what my early impressions are. The installation went very smooth. Just follow the directions and search on the Internet for people who have your rim and tire configuration to see if they have any tips. I found a few tips that made my conversion go smoothly. Good luck... mattsbored 09-07-2004, 10:08 PM I did a race a few weeks ago and experienced air seeping problems with my Bontrager tubeless rims. They dropped about 10 pounds before stabilizing. This weekend I used Stans Sealant in my tires and was very happy. They haven't dropped a single quarter pound. I recommend them. |
