I'm considering buying a procalibur and was wondering if anyone out there has feedback on the bike. How is the single pivot design feel and work on the trail? Thanks

I've got one and like it for the most part. I have felt a little bit of lateral flex in the frame when railing through turns or riding off-camber single track. I added a Delta Axel rod to the rear and it seems to have stiffened it up a little. Check my post history for more impressions on the bike.

I can't speak on behalf of the Pro Caliber, but I can on behalf of the Caliber and Super Caliber. I moved from a GF Cake to the Caliber and it was like night and day. My boyfriend has the SuperCaliber,(Yeh, he won't hear the end of that, but anyway). Both bikes handle extremely well. I can honestly say I don't have a single complaint, except I need to upgrade my shocks, but with the Pro Caliber, I think you would be set huh...and I believe the 2007 is on sale right now too..(damn..I should of waited) It's a fast bike and I'll kind of put it to you like this...with the GF cake, it was like I was riding a lincoln navigator....sure it was comfy, but not as fast nor did it handle or respond as well and quickly. The caliber serious are more like a corvette or something to that extent. The ride may not be as smooth, but the speed and response is well worth it. Not to mention the Pro Caliber is a great navy blue color yah? Ha, Yeh I'm a girl...but I know the caliber bike well. go for it:thumbsup:

I love my Supercal29. I'll agree with kdiddy on the flex but it is not so noticeable as to become detrimental to me. I have recently played with the rebound damping of the rear shock and it is feeling even better on the back.

The bike has improved my climbing and technical singletrack skill quite a bit. Because I am taller than ave (6-2) I think the longer chainstays on the back allow me to climb in or close to my normal saddle position more than previous bikes where I would have to scoot quite a bit forward to keep the front wheel down. It is also the best fitting bike I've had.

Did the rebounding adustments help with the "flex" of the rear? What did u do, spped it up or slow it down? thanks

Actually, I think putting another 3-4 pounds of pressure to about 38 in the rear tire (XR 2.25 Front) made a big difference in the "flexy" feel. I think I was rolling the tire some at 34 pounds. I slowed the rebound a little during that same ride but not sure if that made much differnce in feel. Now I have changed the rebound to about somewhere between 1/3 and 1/2 from full slow...a big change. Per some magazine article, I set it to where when I drop off of our driveway curb, it gives one nice, quick cycle back to the start . Before it would cycle once fully and then have 1 or 2 small "aftershocks". Now there is even less bobbing on the road. Waiting to hit a trail to see the effects off-road. Might not be until the WORS race Sunday.
