I was thinking about a fork upgrade from the stock manitou black. I'm wanting to spend a maximum of $450. Any suggestions?:confused:

Check e-bay for a '06 Nixon Plantinum Intrinsic. Greenfish has been selling them for $320 there. That's about half price. 145 mm / adjustable travel and probably lighter than your black. I put one on my HiFi after I broke the minute and it's working out nice.

put one on your HiFi??? Doesn't that throw off the geometry?
The nixon sounds like a good deal I'll look into it.

Well the HiFi isn't "G2" anymore, but the bike handles well with this fork-- turns a tad slower, takes drops easier, climbs tech better, and soaks up the rocks.
