I just recently purchased a 1999 Schwinn Homegrown frame and I was curious what kind it was ( Pro, Factory, etc). It is glossy black in color and is made from 6061 aluminium. Any info will help - thanks.

The biggest difference in the 99 Homegrown line was the components that were hung on it. I've been riding my Homegrown Elite since 2000, and yeah, its the same as what you're showing me there. Came with XT everything, save for XTR rear D. Mavic 221 (i think) rims, and LX V-Brakes.

This is still my hardtail of choice. I've been beating ol bessie since the day I took her home, and I've yet to hear any complaints.
