Even though the May 31st deadline has passed we still have some jerseys available for new Chain Drive registrations (Nike Dri-Fit jersey). Once they are gone, they're gone. Chain Drive is Father's Day Weekend, June 19th and 20th.
For $50 (includes jersey) you get to enjoy the only point to point race in the Keweenaw with options for 16 or 32 miles (tours also available). The race begins with a mass rollout from downtown Houghton across the Portage Lift Bridge and on to the awesome trails at Maasto Hiihto and Churning Rapids. The course offers up the best trails the area has to offer and includes many miles of flowing singletrack mixed with two track for passing, lots of elevation change, and of course great scenery. At the finish enjoy a free lunch offered up compliments of the Chain Drive Committee and Keweenaw Trekkers.
You can hang around for Sunday and participate in (or watch) the Technical Time Trail at the MTU Trails which includes more great singletrack mixed with optional built and natural stunts. Cost is $20 for the TTT or $65 for both saturday and sunday's events. A Junior Chain Drive for 13 & under is also held on sunday, $5 registration fee includes t-shirt.
All funds raised by the festival go back into trail maintenance and acquisition in the Keweenaw....thanks for your support!
