In the most recent issue of Dirt Rag there is a brief article explaining how to convert a 26" wheeled bike into a 69'er. This may have been explained to death on this forum but I haven't seen it. So if you got an old 26" hardtail laying around the garage and don't know what to do with it, pick up a copy of Dirt Rag and get to work.

There's even an FAQ and a manual for it. And a guide how to interpret the manual.
Picture galleries. Reputations made and (self)destroyed. All about the rear wheel being smaller (to me a glass is half empty).
Do a search, but don't come back complaining if you suffer an information overload :-)

26 + 29 = 55?
They're using base 13.5 numbers. ;-)
2(13.5)^1+6(13.5)^0+2(13.5)^1+9(13.5)^0
=4(13.5)+15
=54+15=69
26+29 is also equal to 96. Would you like to know the base for that?

What would you get if you put a 29 wheel on the back and a 26 wheel on the front? Funnybike? That should be a 96er.

I'm pretty sure 26+29=Fifty-Five!
