...as I woke to do a Skeggs dawn patrol ride. No dice. Too wet and I'm not one to trash trails when they are taking on water. Was going to do Waterdoggie tonight, but thats not likely.

- All the MTBR rides have been on Sat's which have not been good day's to ride for me lately. Surely a bummer as I've missed out on some good one's no doubt.

Rode the course tonight and WOW! The P.O. is gnar-gnar this year!
The HIGH wind has completely dried the course, and I mean completely.

- I did see one of the Luna girlies and a LOOK sponsored/test rider....
The new 986 MTB looks freakin' awesome, sub 20 lbs, ISP, gears and all.
Too bad it's a 26" only bike for 08'. ;)

I say let it rain like just about every other year. Weed out the non-hackers. Get the once-a-year-ride-on-dirt roadies out of there. I love rain rides. It makes hanging around the mtbr booth a bit more of a drag, tho.

My otherwise awesome girlfriend hates it when I "upgrade" my bike, but she's great when my bike needs repairs... bring on the rain and sand!

If I remember correctly, there's not that much "soil" there to get muddy; mostly sand, right? Weather changing your tire preferences?
