I'll probably get a chance to ride a little Pisgah Memorial Day weekend. Does anyone have some favorite trails to recommend? I'm definitely used to riding Atlanta area and North Georgia trails, I'm just looking for a good choice so I don't blow my time.

I know this sounds kinda weenie but I'm looking for something without a killer climb. I had a dose of strep/sinusitus/ear infections last week and it kicked the carp out of me. I lost 10lbs and could really feel it on the bike this weekend, ugh! I'll be back up this summer and promise to be ready for more!

Well if you go to Pisgah, you will climb. No way around it. However you can descend alot more than you climb in some areas. People construe Pisgah to be the Fish Hatchery/Caney Bottom ride. While that is a fun ride, it involves a five mile gravel road climb, so for you, thats not the plan. If I were you Id start from the Trace Ridge Recreation Area and go from there. Sassafras Gap is the best descent in Pisgah. If you are looking for something easy and fun, check out Bent Creek. Its shaped like a toilet bowl, so newbies cant get lost.
