It looks to be inchworm season again. I had a couple tag along with me on last nights ride. Last year I had a ride in which a buddy and I had to pick hundreds off of us after a certain section of trail. They didn't seem too bothered by the disruption although I cannot say the same for myself. Although inchworms are very green they don't taste very good. Kinda bitter. Certainly won't be making any inchworm cookies in the near future. Maybe fried in butter with a lot of salt they could be palatable but in the raw they aint so great. I didn't try them with Hummus so I can't tell you how that is.

I hope that answers any questions you had about that.

I rode Wompatuck the other night and got covered in those little guys. I had to pick them all off my body and bike. Riding through the silk/web stingers isn't too fun either. I can't say that I ate any though...

I ate so many bugs on last nights ride that when I got home I didn't have to eat dinner. I was full. I also needed a transfusion because my plasma was so low. Those suckers are immune to bug spray.

Yes I tend to try and stay away from eating too many mosquitoes. The problem with them is that they tend to have a different taste depending on what they last had to eat. You could say that differing tastes is a good thing, kind of like a box of chocolates. I tend to disagree. While the idea is a good one the Mosquito comes in a size best eaten in large quantities. Now you wouldn't eat cereal if every bite was an assorted cacophony of flavors so I try to keep my blood sucking insect munching to a minimum.

Given the choice to eat or be eaten, I would of course take the former as opposed to the latter.

Pray for good weather this weekend!
