If you can post here when you are sure which eve/day you are riding maybe it will work for me. Lot's going on at the moment. Later, Dave Wildfire 05-12-2004, 10:25 AM We got a little rain in the last couple days but not enough to make the Kepler trails muddy. Will try to make it Thurs but it's definately the silly season for me as well. Also our local bike club, the Valley Mountain Bike Alliance is having a MTB festival at Kepler on Sat and Sun of the Memorial Day weekend. No real events, just a get together, camp out and rides. Everyone is invited, you don't have to be a club member or anything. Call Tony Berberich at 745-5014 or tony@mountainbikealaska.com for specifics. Mark DirkPitt 05-12-2004, 10:42 AM Sounds great!! Couple of friends will probably want to go, but get off work at 5..so depart 5:30-5:45 should work out fine. The valley doesn't get the rain we do here, and the trails were so dry that some rain would help solidify them a bit. We could meet somewhere at Fred Meyer on Debarr and Muldoon to carpool? Brian Thurs. - 5:30 @ freddie's Yep, I get out of work at 5:00, so that sounds good.. How about the east end of the lot, by the Fred Meyer gas station.. I can probably borrow a 2 place hitch rack for the carpool, if you think we'll need it.. nomad 05-12-2004, 08:16 PM if you leave at 5:30, how long does it take you guys to get out here from anchorage? i'll meet you there, but i'm coming from palmer. see you later. rick Snowmonkey 05-12-2004, 11:30 PM if you leave at 5:30, how long does it take you guys to get out here from anchorage? i'll meet you there, but i'm coming from palmer. see you later. rick 45min.. so @bout 6:15 DirkPitt 05-13-2004, 04:06 PM I'll be coming from west anchorage at about 5pm..so should be there on time..ha Brian Snowmonkey 05-13-2004, 04:16 PM I'll be coming from west anchorage at about 5pm..so should be there on time..ha BrianOk, see you there.. is anyone else going? Wish I was there! *sigh* That's Kepler? If those are recent pictures, those trails look nice & dry & fun to ride. (My husband would want a few more roots & rocks thrown in, but looks like one of those pictures had a tricky root to get up & over.) Kristine Anchorage-bound Buckeye Snowmonkey 05-14-2004, 10:21 AM Hi Kristine, Most of the trails out there are more technical & narrow than the first two pics imply, I never remember to bust out the camera on the singletrack.. Not many rocks at this elevation.. just logs & roots. DirkPitt 05-14-2004, 12:40 PM Hey SnowMonkey - Those look like my kind of trails. Wish I was there! *sigh* That's Kepler?
