I am looking for some mtb pics of people riding/making trails. I wish we had a camera two days ago because we found this abandoned trail system near a water tower and we spent two hours clearing brush/trees etc... and we made some sweet trails. My buddy actually broke his right crank arm (not too sure that is the correct name, the thing the pedal is connected too) while pedalling up one of the steep hills. Kinda sucks when you gotta ride home with one foot

as Alienbri said it was done on Thursday (2 days prior Saturday post). The damage was done on, or prior to Wednesday (when I first saw it posted - may be wrong). Also, what he says leads me to believe his buddy rode the trail that day, broke a crankarm and it was near the water tower.

1.) Dates don't match up
2.) The two water towers in Lynn Woods are on the other side of reservoir. It was off of the steel tower, not water tower.
3.) I was there on Saturday to clean up with my son. There were no tire marks throughout (although after a heavy rain). There were no drops more than a foot or two - I don't know where you could break a crankarm on the trail.

It had nice flow and all, but very little needed to be cleared to make the run. The painted arrows pissed me off more than anything else. The sign was gone by the time I got there, so can't comment.

Just to be clear - I don't agree with what was done. There's plenty of trails that exist already to keep me riding there, and I wouldn't jeopardize anything by doing something stupid like this.

My only thought for resolution on this particular issue, and to prevent future issues, is to create a reward fund. I bet they'll find out who did it if there was a reward. I'm not sure how much this would prevent future issues, as the idiots that did this probably weren't aware of impact to begin with.

No one is making any accusations. I am just passing along info that I know to be true.
