Anyone been out riding yet? What are the trails looking like in the Ithaca/Binghamton area? I plan to get out to Waverly Glen today. Oakley Corners, Jenksville, and Shindagin are on the agenda in the coming weeks.

Left there feeling we missed most of the trails as we could find only 1/2 mile of decent singletrack overlooking the lakes. Maybe travel to Oakley Corners today. Went to Oakley Corners today and I was impressed! DEC did an awsome job on those trails. Trails were relatively dry and clear of any debris. I am definately going to check the trails we didn't get to hit out soon. Next stop......Jenksville. Snowman 04-15-2004, 06:48 PM Looking to go to Jenksville on Saturday....Never been there before. After this week's weather expecting soggy conditions. Any trails recommended? What should we expect in terms of trails? Should we just say screw Jenksville and go back to Shindagin? Snowman 04-21-2004, 05:21 PM Went to Jenksville last Saturday and the trails were cool. A little bit muddy in places from last week's rain. Found some of the trails hard to follow maybe due to the fact not many people have used them yet. We rode R5 trail out to where it loops back from Baker Rd. and had to walk our bikes out to the road due to many fallen trees. Looked like damage from a micro-burst but that must have happened over last summer. We then hit the Blue trails and found B3 ,which was cool, from the top of the hill. I want to check out those Yellow trails in the future. Looking to return to Shindagin for the first time this year on Saturday. |
