I know of The 24 Hours of Snowshoe, 7 Springs, and the Snowshoe NORBA Marathon race. Does anyone know of other "endurance" events in the PA/OH/WV area?
Is there a race at Wisp this year?

Hey thanks the info brewSSard.
Have you race here before?
Is it worth the drive from the Pgh. area?

I've not been to any of these before, I just came across them
while planning out my season. They are almost 10 hours away
for me, and I've got 15 other endurance events on the calendar,
so that will probably be enough.

Good luck !

The Wilderness 101 is in PA:

The Shenandoah 100 is almost in West Virginia (it starts in western Virginia and I think some of the course is actually in West Virginia proper):

I haven't done the 101, but I did the Shenandoah 100 last year and it was a great race.

Titustiguy,
I have never done any of the endurance races at the Knob, may try one of the 12 hour events, but I have done a few of the normal races there and have ridden there more than a few times since I used to live in Ohio and visit the inlaws in Ohio many times a year. The course and trail system are first rate it is almost entirely single track with all of the hills similar to Pgh area trails, short and steep. The trails are very techinical with a lot of man-made elevated bridges and structures. So in closing, yes it is worth the drive, approx 3.5 hours from the Burgh.

Another endurance event to add to your list would be the 6 hours of power in elliotcotville NY (Holiday Valley Ski resort). This race is run some time in July and I highly recommend it, the course length is about the same distance as the 7Springs 24 hour course, not as techinical because of no rock gardens, but well worth the drive for the race and raffle. The web site is heartrateup.com

hope this helps
