Made a adapter that allows bike to be mounted to rack. I order a extra long post for bike, cut off excess and mounted a scrap piece of pipe (some with a star nut installed) to it.

I bet some time went into designing that!! It's the only downfall of a lot of bike racks now - they're still only designed for roadies and hardtails - I know there are a few good designs out there now though. I can't think of the brands off the top of my head at the moment though. Looks good!! :)

Cheers, Dave

How much would one of those cost me? My seatpost is 31.6mm.

You will need to file the second piece so that it fits snug and parallel to the ground. Then you will need to go to a hardware store and a long 5/16" grade 5 or 8 bolt and a 5/16" fender washer and nut. Next you will need to drill a 5/16" hole thru the piece of post that goes into the frame and bolt the two together as in the picture.

Plain Clever. Congrats. A friend of mine and I used to just move the bikes around the rack and make them fit. Your approach is thousands years light better
