I went riding by there the other day but resisted the temptation to ride along the trail and see how it was since I did ride through taylor creek along the pavement and seen some parts of the lil trails there kinda dry ( at least not dark like it was muddy anyways)
I might check it out tomorrow and see how it is.

I heard that cops hang out on those trails with radar guns and they fine you for going 'X' km/h above the speed limit. Also, I heard that the people who ride those trails are fiercely competitive ie. they dont like guys hanging on their tail. , if youre in the way of their ride they'll flip on you.
Is this true? If so, thats pretty funny

well ive never seen a cop...
or heard about that
as for the competitve peopl...its only those fagg Xcountry riderstha are obsessed with beating their time or what ever u know the type. one time i was riding and it was really muddy and i fell andat the bottom of a hill and stood up on a wooden stunt to pull my bike out and theis retard on a SC blur or heckelr comes down the trail and gets to the top and starts swearing at me and im like come down here and ill F**King kick ur ass cuz i had like 3 big guys with me and he rdode off i think he was a neeeeefie or something cuz he had a funny accent

its like any sport guys, you will have your total tools that like to make things hard or put down others. I would not lable xc riders, free riders etc. I am sure each group has its few loose nuts, but what sport does not?
We all have one thing in common, and that is riding on two wheels! Just enjoy your days on the trails and ingnore the fools!
I don't live close to the don so I can't comment on police running radar. However I can't see police doing that. It would cost a lot of money to sit a officer there to give tickets to riders IMPO. And also all the trails I ride it would be really hard to get doing over 50km/h unless its on certain downhill sections.....

Trail is in riding condition I guess. Only the usual spots had mud/puddles. You can tell the ground isnt that hard as it can get though in some areas too.
Near the end towards the park is a nice big fallen tree. I dont think anyone has tried riding over it yet and if they do they would have to be the best rider ever.
I just took it one way through from pottery road to the park and seen like 6 riders riding along it.
I never heard of cops along the trail with radar guns flagging down speeders. Hell I know if I ever got a speeding ticket on my bike I'm hanging that sucker in the main room ( besides going to court to get it thrown out too, well hopefully ;) )
The most trouble I had in the Don was when I rode with my dog down there and some disgruntled biker was threatening to give her a good kick. I didnt say anything to him but if someone ever did kick my dog he better have a few big guys with him to save his ass from the whooping he would get.

Was your dog on a lesh? Was your dog harrasing the other rider? Did your dog almost make the other rider crash? Were you in control of your dog?

I saw the guy coming and told my dog to get to the side and she did and she is quite good at obeying me along the trail and was usually too busy chasing the squiirels to bother some prick on a bike. Oh wait I think my dog was panting a lil too hard and that made the guy get scared and threaten me.
